Frequently Asked Questions

Where can we go on a multi-night charter?

Your itinerary can take you throughout Dutch and French St. Maarten/St. Martin, Anguilla, St. Barths, or beyond—depending on your length of stay and preferences. We’ll work with you in advance to design an ideal travel itinerary tailored to your goals, with the freedom to stay as long as you like in each location. While a flexible itinerary will guide your journey, the captain will chart the best course each day based on sea conditions—and there’s always room for spontaneity.

Can we go ashore or dine off the boat on a multi-night charter?

Yes. Your charter includes daily breakfast and your choice of one onboard lunch or dinner per day. Meals onboard are included, while excursions and any onshore dining are at your own expense.

We can build time into your itinerary to go ashore and explore. Whether you’re interested in sampling local culture, cuisine, or nightlife, we’re happy to make recommendations or assist with bookings to enhance your experience.

What is the pick-up and drop-off location?

**Day charters (St. Maarten):** Port de Plaisance Yacht Club, South Harbour, Boat Slip C10 – 155 Union Road, Cole Bay, Sint Maarten (Dutch side).

**Day charters (Anguilla):** The dock in Road Bay, Sandy Ground (north side of Anguilla).

**Overnight charters:** Depart from Port de Plaisance Yacht Club, with alternate pick-up and drop-off options in Anguilla or St. Barths upon request.

How do I book?

You can book online or by phone with payment in full by credit card.

To book online, click the **Book Now** button on any sailing package page, select your date, enter your details, and choose any extras.

To book by phone, just give us a call and provide your credit card information. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive an email with all the details.

Is the boat accessible?

Depending on your accessibility requirements, the catamaran may have some barriers to consider.

While docked, boarding is done using a 2-foot-wide gangplank, followed by two steps at the stern. To reach the bow or guest cabins and bathrooms, additional steps are required.

The boat features wide decks and flush handles to support safe movement throughout.

Please let us know of any accessibility needs we can accommodate—the captain and crew are onboard to assist.

What is included in the price of my charter?

Everything comes included in your charter: captain and crew, all-inclusive dining and drinks, beach towels, reef-safe sunscreen, complimentary Wi-Fi, and water activities like snorkeling gear, a paddleboard, a floating lily pad, and noodles. Customs fees (for travel outside of St. Maarten, Anguilla, or St. Barths) and fuel are also covered.

For overnight charters, your stay includes all the above, plus plush bed linens, pillows, reef-safe bath products, and more for a luxurious stay.

Are service animals and pets allowed onboard?

Yes, both service animals and pets are welcome aboard our private charters. Weather depending, we’ll chauffeur your fur baby to shore by tender for breaks.

For safety, we recommend bringing a life jacket for your service animal or pet.

Is gratuity included?

Gratuity for the crew is not included and is greatly appreciated—customarily 10–20%, at your discretion.

Do you work with travel industry partners?

Yes. We collaborate with travel advisors, villa concierges, and hotel partners to create exceptional guest experiences. To learn more about partnership opportunities or how we can support your clients, please contact us directly.

Why do I need to bring my passport as ID?

Maritime law requires all passengers to carry a government-issued photo ID or passport. For charters involving travel outside St. Maarten, Anguilla, or St. Barths, a physical passport is mandatory for customs clearance.

What is the maximum capacity?

Our catamaran can comfortably accommodate up to **16 guests** on day charters and **4 guests** on overnight charters (in two guest cabins with queen-sized beds). There are always two crew members onboard.

Are food and drinks included?

Yes! Every charter includes all meals and a premium open bar.

Depending on your day charter package, that may include either a light or full breakfast followed by a grilled lunch freshly prepared onboard.

The open bar includes top-shelf spirits, handcrafted cocktails and mocktails, Prosecco, a selection of wines and beer, soft drinks, juices, and water. Veuve Clicquot Champagne and Don Julio 1942 tequila are available for purchase onboard.

What is the menu?

The menu varies depending on your sailing package. Here’s a taste of what’s typically served on our day charters:

**Light Breakfast:** Tropical fruit and warm croissants.
**Full Breakfast:** Baked egg frittata with caramelized onions and peppers, smoked salmon with capers, tropical fruit, and warm croissants with preserves.
**Lunch:** Barbecued chicken with chimichurri, Cajun-spiced grilled shrimp, loaded baked potato with sour cream, scallions, and bacon, and Greek salad, followed by freshly baked cookies.

Menus on our overnight charters are customized to your preferences and include a daily breakfast plus your choice of either lunch or dinner onboard, along with snacks.

Do you accommodate dietary needs and allergies?

Yes, we happily accommodate all dietary needs. Just let us know at the time of booking so we can tailor the day’s menu to your needs.

What is reef-safe sunscreen, and what type should I bring?

Avoid aerosol and tinted sunscreens onboard, as they harm marine life and damage the boat.

We provide locally made reef-safe sunscreen, or you can bring your own. Reef-safe options use non-nano minerals like Titanium Dioxide or Zinc Oxide and avoid harmful chemicals like Oxybenzone and Octinoxate.

Is my charter weather-dependent?

We sail rain or shine, and in St. Maarten and Anguilla, the sun is almost always shining. If conditions are deemed unsafe or unfavorable by the captain, the charter may be postponed or cancelled and you will receive a refund as per our Terms.

Can I add extras to my charter?

Yes, extras are available at checkout, depending on your package. Options include a special occasion cake, a bottle of Champagne or premium tequila, and an underwater scooter (Seabob) rental.

Is the itinerary customizable?

Yes! This is a private charter tailored to your preferences and the day’s sea conditions. Whether you want to relax or explore, the captain will recommend the best spots to match your vibe.

What should I bring?

All you need is your photo ID (passport), a bathing suit, and you’re good to go! Bare feet are best, so slip off your sandals and step aboard, here’s what you can expect to find:

  • Beach towels for everyone
  • Reef-safe sunscreen included and also for purchase
  • Bed linens, bath towels, robes, shampoo & conditioner, shower gel, hair dryers and a washer and dryer for our overnight guests
  • USB ports and 220 power to charge your devices (converters available)
  • T-shirts, tank tops, hats, and other goodies available for purchase onboard in our Renegades Shop

For our overnight guests, we recommend you pack lightly in a soft-shell bag as cupboard space in your cabin is limited.

Are your charters family-friendly?

Absolutely! There is no cost for children under 4 years of age, and children aged 5 to 12 receive a discount applied at the time of booking. We have child size snorkeling gear, a selection of sand and water toys, and board games. The boat is also equipped with child and infant size Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) approved life jackets and a number of Personal Flotation Devices (PFDs), or you can bring your own. Just let us know at the time of booking how many children and infants are in your group so we can make sure we have the right sizes and quantity of life jackets for everyone.

We can also plan a custom event or birthday party, designed and hosted by two of our captain and crew who are former schoolteachers, so just reach out and we’ll help you make something magical.
