Private Full-Day Catamaran Charter | St. Maarten

Private Full Day Charter Mockup

Private Full Day Charter in St. Maarten / St. Martin

We’re Sail Renegades, a small owner-and-crew-run charter out of Cole Bay, and a full day aboard Freedom is the one way to see both halves of the only island on earth split between two countries — Dutch Sint Maarten to the south, French Saint-Martin to the north — the way they’re meant to be seen, from the rail of your own catamaran with nowhere you have to be. You get the whole island. Anchor for a swim where the water goes that pale, lit-from-below blue. Snorkel a reef most day-trippers never find. Swap the Dutch side’s buzz for a French beach you can only reach by boat. Your captain knows where the turtles graze and where the wind lays down flat, and he builds the route around whatever you’re hoping for. One boat, one group, one day that’s completely yours.

What's Included

Your rate is all-inclusive. Everything below is already aboard and already paid for:

Dining & Drinks

  • Morning sunshine breakfast
  • Mid-day grill
  • Afternoon tapas
  • Premium open bar and cocktails we mix by hand

Onboard & Amenities

  • Snorkel gear in every size, adult down to child
  • Stand-up paddleboard, a floating lily pad, and pool noodles
  • Beach towels and reef-safe sunscreen (the kind the reserve actually wants you using)

  • Life jackets from infant to adult
Three people enjoy drinks aboard the Freedom, Sail Renegades private charter boat sailing to St. Maarten in the Caribbean

Two Sides, One Island — Where We Drop Anchor

St. Martin packs an absurd amount of coastline into 37 square miles. Here are the spots we love and what each one’s actually good for:

Charter Details

How it works: the base rate covers up to 4 guests. Beyond that you add a flat per-person rate — adults are 18+, youth are ages 7–17, and children 6 and under sail free.

  • 8:00 a.m. start: $2,395 base (covers up to 4 guests) — the early start buys you calmer morning water and first pick of the anchorages
  • 10:00 a.m. start: $2,195 base (covers up to 4 guests)
  • + $195 per additional adult (18+)
  • + $145 per additional youth (ages 7–17)
  • Children 6 and under sail free
  • Maximum capacity: 15 guests

A group of six adults on the 10:00 a.m. start: $2,195 base + 2 extra adults at $195 = $2,585 total, all-inclusive, for the whole boat — roughly the price of six seats on a crowded group tour, except the boat is yours.

Good to know: A 20% festive-season rate applies to bookings between Dec 20 and Jan 5. Crew gratuity is not included — always welcomed, never expected.

Timing: 8:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. start, back at the dock by 5:15 p.m.   Pick-up & drop-off: Port de Plaisance Yacht Club in Cole Bay, on the Dutch side — easy to reach from anywhere on the island.

A full day usually means crossing the invisible border at least once — the best of each side is worth the short sail. Most days open with a run up the French coast while the sea’s still glassy, then settle into a rhythm: swim, snorkel, eat, repeat. No clock, no rush.

Happy Bay is a favorite first stop — a soft crescent of sand you reach on foot through the bush or, much better, by dropping anchor right out front. From there it’s a short hop to Creole Rock off Grand Case, the best snorkeling on the French side. Sergeant majors swarm the shallows; the odd barracuda hangs in the blue. Want turtles? We point the bow at Tintamarre, the uninhabited island inside the French marine reserve, where greens and hawksbills graze the seagrass a few feet off the beach.

We usually time the back half of the day for Mullet Bay or Long Bay so you finish where the water’s calm and the light’s going gold. If your crew wants a taste of Grand Case — the island’s gastronomic capital, where the lolos grill lobster and ribs over open flame — just say so, and we’ll work the timing around it.

We tailor to your group and the day’s sea conditions:

  • Happy Bay, Creole Rock & Tintamarre Island (snorkel + turtles)
  • Mullet Bay, Long Bay & Pinel Island (beaches + calm water)
  • You see both countries in a day. Dutch energy and French calm, with the border crossing done from a deck chair.
  • A crew that actually knows the water. Where the turtles are, when the wind turns, which bay’s empty on a Tuesday.
  • A brand-new Lagoon 42. Teak decks, air-conditioned salon, Starlink, and bean bags on the trampoline.
  • Genuinely all-inclusive. Food, open bar, gear, fuel — priced up front, nothing extra aboard.

This charter stays around St. Maarten / St. Martin. If you’d rather cross to Anguilla for the day, that’s a separate route with customs handled for you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's included on a full day charter?

Everything but gratuity. Breakfast, a grilled lunch, afternoon tapas, and a premium open bar, plus snorkel gear in every size, a paddleboard, towels, reef-safe sunscreen, air conditioning, Starlink Wi-Fi, and fuel. You bring sunglasses and a swimsuit; we bring the rest.

Most full days include Creole Rock off Grand Case — the best snorkeling on the island — and, weather permitting, Tintamarre, where green and hawksbill turtles graze the seagrass a few feet off the beach. Both sit inside the French marine reserve, so we use the mooring zones and leave it exactly as we found it.

  • The base rate covers up to 4 guests. After that you add $195 per adult (18+) and $145 per youth (7–17); children 6 and under are free. The 8:00 a.m. start is $2,395 and the 10:00 a.m. start is $2,195, and the booking calendar totals it for your exact group.

Same length of day on the water, different feel. The 8:00 a.m. start ($2,395) gets you out while the sea is glassiest and the anchorages are empty — great for serious snorkelers. The 10:00 a.m. start ($2,195) is the relaxed option for slow mornings. Both finish by 5:15 p.m.

Use the Check Availability & Book button on this page. It opens a live calendar for this charter, prices your group, and confirms your date — no deposit just to look.

Ready When You Are

A full day is the one most guests wish they’d booked from the start. See what’s open and claim your date before the calendar fills — high season (December through April) goes first.

The perfect luxury catamaran with amazing hospitality This charter was absolutely amazing. The catamaran is beautiful, it feels like luxury, and it is super super clean and comfortable - you won’t want to leave. The service is 10/10, kind and accommodating staff, even as a vegan they made sure I wasn’t left out and had delicious food to eat. Highly recommend this experience. Thank you so much!

Another Perfect Day on Freedom Catamaran I had such a wonderful time on the catamaran trip yesterday! The whole experience was absolutely beautiful from start to finish. The crew is not only professional but also so warm and friendly, which makes you feel completely at ease and well taken care of.This was actually my second time on Freedom, and just like the first time, the food was beyond delicious—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The drinks were also amazing, both original and refreshing, a perfect match for the day at sea.Everything about this trip feels so well done and heart-centered. If you’re looking for a mix of relaxation, fun, and genuine hospitality on the water, I can’t recommend Freedom enough. I’ll definitely be back again

"Best Experience in St Maarten" My wife and I arranged a family vacation in St. Maarten and one of the activities that we wanted to enjoy while we were there was a sunset cruise. I checked online for sailing companies that would accommodate 10 people (ages 14 to 70+) on a private sunset cruise and Renegades emerged as a solid choice to contact. After a few email exchanges with Carla to confirm schedule and cost, I was convinced that this was a good choice for family to begin our week in St. Maarten. And after our cruise ended, I can honestly say that we made an excellent decision sailing on their boat, Freedom.Communication with the company was easy, prompt, and helpful. The accommodations on the boat were excellent and comfortable. The crew (Captain Andre and First Mate Diane) were amazing: helpful, courteous, knowledgeable, and were able to satisfy the diverse tastes of the 10 of us with a delicious and freshly made selection of tapas, custom made-to-order beverages, and topped off with freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. And while preparing this gourmet feast, they also helped everyone engage in some water playtime (swimming, snorkeling, paddleboarding, etc.). And, of course, a spectacular sunset and family photos to end the evening! The ultimate testament to this fun in the sun was the answer that everyone gave when asked what their favorite memory was during the week on the island. Everyone happily responded that it was the Renegades Sunset Cruise. If you want to experience a delightful evening, day, or longer, on the waters of the Caribbean, I highly recommend checking out Renegades before making your choice to sail.

A Dream Day Boat We had a fantastic day thanks to the Renegade Charter team and their boat “Le Freedom.” André and Diane took great care of us throughout the day. We started with a delicious breakfast of fruit, omelets, pastries, and salmon. Diane prepared delicious cocktails for us.The crossing from St. Martin to Anguilla was very pleasant. We anchored at Middle Bay, and André brought out the paddleboards and diving equipment. The seabed was like an aquarium, with colorful fish of all kinds.Diane prepared a delicious lunch with marinated chicken salad and potatoes—a real treat! On the way back, we were lucky enough to be accompanied by about fifteen dolphins who put on a show for us for 20 minutes! It was magical! Another big thank you to the entire Renegade team and the Freedom for this unforgettable day!

“Beyond Perfect — The Ultimate Caribbean Sailing Experience” ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️If you’re looking for the ultimate Caribbean experience, stop searching and book with Renegades right now! This was, without a doubt, the most magical day I’ve ever spent on the water — and it happened on my birthday! From the very first moment, André, and diane welcomed us like old friends. Their warmth, kindness, and genuine passion for making guests happy instantly set the tone for the day. The catamaran itself is a dream — spotless, beautifully maintained, and so comfortable, with huge beanbags at the front where you can stretch out, feel the sea breeze, and watch the turquoise waves glide by.We started with a fresh, delicious breakfast and perfectly chilled mimosas, then sailed toward Anguilla — a jewel of crystal-clear water that took my breath away. The snorkeling was like swimming in an aquarium: colorful fish, vibrant coral, and total serenity. And I say this as someone who lives in Saint Martin and is surrounded by gorgeous beaches every day… this was on another level entirely.Lunch was fantastic, the service was flawless, and the whole day felt effortless thanks to how much care the crew put into every single detail. It’s rare to find people who love what they do this much, and it shines through in every moment. And just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, on our way back, a pod of dolphins swam alongside the boat — the perfect ending to a perfect day.I can’t recommend Renegades enough. Whether it’s your first time in the Caribbean or your hundredth, this experience will steal your heart. Five stars isn’t enough — they deserve ten!

We had an unforgettable day with Renegades aboard Freedom in Saint Maarten! It was our kids’ very first time on the oc ⸻Best Day Ever with Renegades on Freedom! We had the most amazing day sailing around Saint Maarten with Renegades on their gorgeous boat, Freedom! This was actually our kids’ very first time out on the ocean—and it couldn’t have been more perfect. They got to swim, snorkel, and explore the crystal-clear water, and the crew was absolutely incredible with them—super kind, patient, and made them feel totally comfortable. Watching them experience the ocean for the first time was honestly magical.Meanwhile, we soaked up the sun, sipped delicious cocktails, and kicked back in the shade when we needed a break. The boat was beautiful, super comfy, and the whole vibe was just relaxation and fun from beginning to end.It was the highlight of our trip, hands down. If you’re headed to Saint Maarten, do yourself a favor and book a day with Renegades on Freedom. You won’t regret it!⸻Kim

Amazing Catamaran Charter in SXM We were in SXM for a week. This full day charter was, by far, the absolute highlight of our trip! There were 6 of us on the charter, plus the crew . . . Andre (the Captain) and Diane (hostess/bartender/chef/amazing human). The catamaran is immaculate, has two bathrooms for passenger use, a wonderful shaded spot in the rear of the vessel with seating for breakfast, lunch and snacks, plenty of spots for sunning in the front of the vessel and even places to sit/lay out up top. They even had towels and sunscreen for us to use.If you really want the perfect charter, this is it. They took us everywhere we wanted to go, they had noodles for the water, snorkel gear, a lily pad for lounging in the water and even a stand up paddle board. They served an outstanding breakfast upon our arrival (with champagne). Drinks before, during and in between meals, a grilled lunch with chicken and shrimp, a Greek salad, and baked potatoes . . .amongst other tasty treats, and even ended the day with homemade chocolate chip cookies. We went to multiple beaches and coves, some of which you could not travel to without a boat. It really was the perfect day. Diane and Andre are such great people and did anything and everything to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. If you are looking for a perfectly relaxing and laid back day, where you do not have to think about a thing or want for anything at all, I highly recommend booking with Renegades. You will not be disappointed.

Amazing time In spite of the less than ideal weather, the crew made it an amazing experience and the catamaran itself was a fantastic place to chill and relax. Thank you.
